Apricot, Granola, Nutty Macadamia
Our Colombian special undergoes the same traditional washed process where beans are depulped, fermented in tanks for 12-24 hours and then dried in a two-stage process, initially on raised beds for 10-15 days before finishing drying in a mechanical dryer.
Coffees are then transported to Descafecol a now famous factory in the Caldas district of Colombia on the vanguard of the natural decaffeination process. Sometimes called "Sugarcane Process", the coffee is decaffeinated using ethyl acetate which is derived from sugar cane, blackberries, beets, or sometimes grapes and used as a solvent to extract caffeine from the beans.
Flavour Profile: A naturally decaffeinated washed Colombian, boasting notes of apricot, granola, and nutty macadamia
Brew Methods: Omni-roast for all brew types
Process: Washed, Deceffeinated
Variety: Regional, mixed
